2026.07.06 - Nordkapp
Nordkapp is the goal of many motorcyclists. Some go through a hard trial in cold and rain, others manage to ride the route in decent conditions. We were among the latter. The weather was very kind to us. The temperature beyond the Arctic Circle was around 14–17 degrees (17 degrees at Nordkapp). We had one day with light rain and 10 degrees – fortunately it was the shortest leg. In the south, towards the end of the trip, it was very hot with 27–30 degrees. Each day we rode about 400–450 km. The longest leg was 720 km – which is no problem to handle. There are many speed limits, but the roads are of excellent quality, other road users help and make overtaking easier, so the average cruising speeds are very reasonable. The views are unlike anywhere else in Europe, your head keeps turning all around in amazement.
Prices are high, but it’s manageable. Hotels are expensive, but campsites are very decent and reasonably priced. The whole route was almost 4,600 km, and we did it in 11 days.
